Hi there
Im having a little trouble figuring out what courses i need to take for my 1st yr. I got accepted into Social Sciences and want to major in Political Science. For anyone in this program , Can you give me a list of Pre Req courses and electives i should take for my first yr. I would greatly appreciate it.

Poli Sci 1C06 is all you need to take for your program.
Go to the Undergrad calender under Poli Sci and it will list all of the courses needed for your degree

Do you mean, Poli Sci 1G06 Danielle? Unless if they changed it.
Yeah, that's all you need. Typically in social science, you can take a bunch of electives from other faculties. You just need 18 units of social science courses, and poli sci 1G06 takes up a third of those.

Yeah, you only need a 6.0 cumulative average and a B- in Poli Sci 1G06 to get into level 2 of the honours political science program . And, as a social science student you must take 18 units of social science courses in level 1 and Poli Sci 1G06 is 6 units.

Also, take electives that will open up options to you in later years, in those departments. For example, a first year Sociology course may let you take second and third year Sociology courses as electives in those years. (I did this with Philosophy).
I believe you also need a couple Humanities courses to graduate, but double check the requirements.
