I wasn't impressed with this course. I found a lot of the content very dry. It was made worse by the fact that it was a night class.
Dr. Holland (sessional)...is an okay lecturer. I'm not a fan of his style, but he has online notes, which was helpful and he gave us the exam questions, which was also good.
The course has also been taught by Brophy and Ouellette (sessional)

Theoretical readings combined with the analysis of specific cultural texts, objects, forms, and practices will allow students to trace historical and contemporary debates concerning culture. This version of the course will explore the following central concerns: education, taste, empire, identity, and the human body as a “medium” or “text” of culture. Students will be expected to participate actively in lectures and tutorials.
