Dropping courses at the deadline
Can you re-register for the course that you accidently dropped (past the add date, but before the drop date)?

Not to my knowledge, no.

However, you can contact the office of the Registrar and ask them.

I'm strongly considering dropping one of my courses, but I'm worried that since I'm a first year its going to make it difficult to get into level II. I'm going to make the credit up during the summer, so next year do I just do all the required courses and re-apply to the major I want?

You can still apply for level II with up to 6 missing credits. However, if you are trying to get into a highly competitive second year program you may not get in. Your best bet is to speak to an academic counselor.

I agree that you best bet is to talk to an academic counselor to figure out your options. Also, if you do not get into a program, you can try to mimic the courses of that program and then reapply at the end of the year.
