Usually you'll want to stick to just first year courses and take first year electives if you still have room left over. Second year courses, as Danielle said, usually require some knowledge from first year. Also, you'll probably already have a pretty full courseload... and second year courses are harder, with more expectations in the papers/assignments.
If I were you, I'd stick with first year courses. Remember, you have 4 years at Mac... plenty of time to take those second year courses also note: you can take second year courses in your third or fourth year if you have the room for electives.

You write an essay in a group of about five people. All your work in psych (essay, presentation) is done in a group.

from what i understand, no, you don't need to be in science to apply to med school. however, you do need to fulfil certain prerequisites that are in science. it apparently also depends on the schools you are thinking of applying to.
i suggest you do your own research for this topic, though. there are tons of variables for this one...

I'm in social sci and I was wondering what people thought of the honours psych program. I'm not good at math, will that be a big problem? I like stats but calc killed me in high school and I am worried about it first year.

Well, you need the Calc to get into the program. In fact, you need to get at least a C- in Math 1M03.
Check out all of the info here: http://registrar.mcmaster.ca /CALEN...07/sec_715.htm

I know that, but I mean after first year, what's the math like? really tough or is it more for Social Science than math majors?
