That estimate seems a little high, but presuming it's not, the Scantron scans at 40 pages per minute at the low end (rough estimate from
this, assuming we have a relatively old machine), so it should be able to easily scan 2000 pages within an hour, and way more than that per day.
Even when factoring in downtime (inserting pages to be scanned, etc.), I think it's fair to say that the Scantron is nowhere near the slowest part in this process, especially since marking is going on during the exam period as well.
...Yeah, I'm still waiting on Chem too. I just hope the delay was caused by the profs not being able to decide how much to boost marks.
