Math 1A03 or Math 1LS3?
I'm going into medical radiation sciences and was wondering which would be better to take. Math 1A03 or Math 1LS3.
I also saw that Math 1A03 is a prerequisite for Math 1AA3. Is Math 1AA3 required for medical radiation?

Take 1LS3!!! SO much easier, i've had to take both courses. If you get more than a 7 or so in the course you can still progress to math 1AA3, and it counts just the same as a math 1A03 course. Unless you like pain....then go ahead with 1A03 .

not sure if those will be taken down eventually, but they're extremely helpful for the course. you can find ALL the information you need on the course there to get a 12. good luck!

Math 1A03 was ridiculously easy as long as you had a solid foundation from high school. It scares me that they made an easier version.

Not sure if you took it last year, but this year it definitely was not 'ridiculously easy'.
That being said, first midterm was a joke, second was ... somewhat difficult, and the exam was actually hard.
I studied though, and I think I did well, because my mark went up [though I suppose it might also have been because of a boost] but I wouldn't consider it "Linguistics 1A03" easy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but back when I was researching universities... Aren't 2 maths required for a couple post undergraduate studies? Then it would probably be a better idea to do math 1A03 in case you decide to change your career direction? Just a thought, but I've always been the kind of person to keep my options open.

I took it last year, I thought it was easy. The material isn't that much different from what I learned at my highschool. Basically just expanding on some stuff but I didn't really learn anything new until half way into the course and the new stuff wasn't very challenging.
All this with really crappy teachers too, I'm pretty sure I taught myself more than the teachers taught me. I honestly think I would enjoy math if the teachers were decent.

I agree, 1A03 (or I took 1X03) was EXACTLY what I did in high school, they just go really fast, which is fine if you did well in high school. Then 1AA3/1XX3 was like expanding on it, which I didnt find hard either except for series, because I had never seen those before. But honestly, I found my math classes to be easier than my Enviro 1A03 and definitely easier than Physics 1B03.

lol no racial sterotyping, got owned by one of the mods lol. Anyways, I took the 1A03 and it was fun in the sense if you enjoy math, you'll enjoy this too but the exam was brutal.
