Residence Questions
how long does it take to walk from les prince hall to the institute of applied health science?

what is international floor / house?

so Hedden Hall has individual washrooms in the hallways which only one person can use at a time(with showers)? what other residence buildings do this?

which resident buildings have double with bathroom attached?

any advice / opinions on certain residence buildings?

1. depends how fast you walk. 10-20min.

2. themed for international students, usually in edwards, but there are intl students elsewhere and non-intl students there too.

3. i think mckay, prob others too

4. les prince

you should look at the housing website, it answers your last three questions and probably others that you may have.

you have 0 say in what building you will get. ask these questions once youre assigned to a building. the campus is small. walking shouldnt be a problem from anywhere.

Upwards of 15 minutes. I always speedwalk and it takes almost 15 minutes to ABB.

What Starfish said.

Yes to the first question.

Les Prince for sure.

You can't choose your building specifically but people usually end up being really happy about their residence even though it's not what they would have initially liked

I was helping out this year with ResLife for [email protected] and I know a lot of students were looking to stay in Keyes, Bates, or LP. Those are the three most popular so don't expect to get it even if you list in your top 5 choices. I was lucky and ended up in my first choice. I think requesting a roommate also helps because if they get their named pulled from the lottery before you do, you will be placed into whatever top choice that they have that is still available.

Other than that, cross your fingers, but honestly I have never heard anyone say that they've hated their res experience. It really all comes down to what you make of it. Good luck!

Last year I lived in Mckay Hall. A traditional room was actually my LAST CHOICE (I wanted Les Prince/Keyes) but i cannot stress enough that i am SO HAPPY I got a traditional double. If I hadn't i am sure that I wouldnt have had the opportunity to interact with other students and Mckay was so close to commons and my classes. Mckay Hall has a couple double rooms with the bathrooms attached but for the most part for every 4 rooms (so 8 people) there were 2 private washrooms that could be used. I was extremely happy about that part (was so worried i would be in a communal washroom). Whatever residence you get into though i am sure you will love!

Your question about IAHS is sorta irrelevant for first year medrad. It's not until 2nd year that you will have most of your classes in that building
