adding conflicting courses
Will the academic office allow me to add two conflicting courses if one is podcasted?

You can talk with the academic advisor for your department, I think there's something that if you have a test for both classes on the same day there's no obligation to accommodate you, so keep that in mind, but talk to an academic advisor.

You can do it without any permissions or anything - but you're screwed if both exams are scheduled at the same time.

I tried adding conflicting courses, didn't work, SOLAR doesn't allow that, and refers you to the policy on conflicting courses.
Also 2 years in a row I had exam conflicts. First of all, they have nothing to do with classes conflicting with each other in the schedule. Second of all this problem is solved simply by contacting the prof and asking for another date to write the exam.

The point of the previous posts is that the problem is NOT solved "simply" (or at all) if the two classes conflict. If you sign up for two conflicting classes, they are not obligated to accommodate you if things that are for marks end up conflicting. And this doesn't just apply to final exams, it includes midterms, participation marks, quizzes, presentations, etc.

I have two courses that conflict at all times right now, SOLAR did not care.
And the professors are human, talk to them if there is a conflict. I doubt they would not help you out.

Like I said, you can't take 2 courses that conflict with each other. Solar won't allow it.
Unless they changed it, which I doubt.

Once again, SOLAR will let you take the course. That part means if there is an exam schedule that the associate dean's office or who ever schedules exams will not accommodate you.
Obviously if you can avoid conflicts its better, but I wouldn't be the end of the world.
Good luck on your exams!

I think solar allows it IF you registered for the course before the timetable came out back in august
if you add it now, solar won't let you
