Hi guys,

Has anybody taken this course? I need an elective and this is the only class that works with my schedule. I've never taken an anthro class before, so can someone tell me what it's like?

I am taking it right now. Pretty easy so far. Midterm was straightforward. Just depends on how well you memorize stuff. There are two writing assignments, which I think are marked pretty harshly, but they shouldn't be too bad. Pretty Interesting stuff

I took this class last semester and it was fabulous! I finished with a 12 in the course. The writing assignments are so simple and the TAs are fabulous when it comes to feedback. Half of the marks for both assignments are based on the quality of editing/criticism you GIVE to the other people's essays you mark. How awesome is that?

The midterm and exam were both very straightforward and came almost directly from the textbook. The best thing about Dr. Sorge is that if something is important he talks about it in lecture too, which is pretty much taken out of the text. You know if he emphasized something in class that you also read in your textbook it WILL 100% be on the exam.

Plus he's super prompt about getting back to emails and, I'm told, very flexible with extensions.
