Anthro 2g03 (indo European Myths)
Hello, I was wondering if anyone took Anthro 2G03 in the past? Is there any feedback you can give me as to how the course is?

Thank you.

There is a fair amount of reading (you read 5 different books of myths - Irish, Rig Veda, etc. - over the term). In the past Dr. Colarusso has allowed you to take the book in for the exam (4-5 books, 4-5 exams). He does not let you take the course pack in for the test but you can transfer the info to the books you are allowed to take in. The exams are multiple choice and only deal with the book just completed. The final exam is only about the last book covered in the course.

Dr. C. is incredibly brilliant and entertaining. There is little he doesn't know about the topic and he connects the dots from the myths to the political and social situations that currently exist (he has been an advisor to presidents and various governments). Although none of that is on the exams, it is interesting background information.

You have to do the readings to do well.
