Who says they want to do well? They could also randomly just need the notes for perhaps stuff they missed in the lecture and don't feel like talking to anyone in that course and ask them instead.

people sometimes have more courage to ask for notes to people they dont know rather than people they know. (what i think)

Well he said he's taking it in the summer (in which case the course would just be starting). Plus it sounds like he wants the notes for the whole term.

I'm just saying. You shouldn't always assume what other people intend.

^what? im giving this person advice that other peoples notes will be useless and wont help their mark in the end. the class just started, all the slides are posted online, textbook questions and tutorials are up too. notes from others would just burden you in the end especially in orgo where you should do everything yourself. and the only thing i assumed was they want to do well. i think thats a safe assumption >_>

I'm talking more in general, but yeah you're right, that is a safe assumption to make.

I think it can go either way to be honest. Depends on the person.
