Hey, the McMaster website is working for my roommate on campus, but I can't find anyone else who is able to access it there. Has anyone had any luck accessing the mac server on campus? I dont want to go all the way there if its not working.

I believe you can still access the majority of these McMaster sites and servers while on campus, so head over to campus and get on the network. You should be able to grab what you need there.

Okay: I JUST CALLED MCMASTER: The switchboard said that the server is down ON CAMPUS, campus wide. DON'T go to the school, it's a waste of time. Wait until the server is back up so you can access your email, and let your profs know.

Got home today and was in a relatively less-annoyed mood than usual. Thought "hey, I'll do that Stats assignment tonight, instead of the day before."
I wonder if the powers that be are telling me something...

If something happened so that all of Mac's internet is down period and consequently non of the Mac-related sites are up, it's not McMaster's fault, but professors would be a-holes if they didn't give extensions. Everybody counted on Avenue probably failing at a certain point, but no one counts on the Mac sites to fail (I have numerous profs who have backup sites at a mac address).
So that's simply not fair for a student who is supposed to turn something in or read extra readings, discuss on the discussion board or do extra practice questions, even if it's last minute, it's PRETTY EARLY (this started at like 6 didnt it?) from the day before. That's just my take on it...

welp, considering I have a physics midterm tomorrow, with no access to my CAPAs for practice, or to any of the practice midterms because they're on the course site... I'd pretty much say I'm screwed  |

apparently someone hit a fibre line, a line that happens to carry macs traffic to our isp, which is apparently in waterloo, from what ive heard???
