Actually, according to their facebook page, they experienced some administrative issues with being listed as an official mcmaster event, so they're trying to sort that out with the MSU.

a) It's not the 23rd yet
b) Their facebook page seems to experiencing enough update for me to conclude that it's still ongoing and definite: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=1773310 85652204
so um...
maybe not really at all in reference to the thread title.
God forbid that shit happens and a date be changed, that never ****ing happens in real life right?

Stop being so negative. It will happen. Have a little faith.

If you go to the facebook page you gave, check the creator of the group, he makes a post in the comments on the page. It redirects you to his profile in which he says that it has been moved to second semester.
I dunno, I think the date change will prolly ruin the thing, in the winter I will be much less inclined to even show up. It would be pretty awesome in fall though!

Yep, pretty sure that's exactly what I did in my first post (acknowledge the date change).
Have you people been outside during winter in hamilton? Yea, -10 and no snow is horrible. Good god, however will you survive? If that deters you, something tells me maybe you shouldn't be in a sweet video depicting school pride.

school spirit is one thing, freezing your a$$ off is another. I do love this school, but if the lip dub does happen second semester, I'll be inside for sure.
plus the winter around here has been very different every year I've been here. Who knows it could be a nice -10 or a few feet of snow and blistering winds.

This is almost as big of a fail as our e-mail system revamp that was supposed to be done 2nd term last year, but instead was last said to be finished "some time after reading week" last year...

I'm glad it didn't happen. I've read nothing about the event to suggest that it wasn't just a "us too!" reaction to UBC's awesome video. If we are going to do it we need to do it well and have some creative minds involved.
