Bio 1P03
If you've taken this course, can you comment on the difficulty nd workload? What were the class averages when you took it? This is the twelfth grade equivalent of biology, by the way.

The course is fairly doable and the workload is decent. I had Dr. Kaijura and I personally found her to be very good in terms of teaching the course. She had fill in the blank supplementary notes which we had to print off before we came to lectures. And as for the class average I believe it was somewhere around in the 60s-70s, i'm not too sure.

You definitely need a textbook, I find it useful. Tutorials are optional to go (just discussions) but if you are struggling to memorize, understand and learned the technical stuff on lectures then they are essential to go to. And of course you need to go to tutorials if there are in-class quizzes.

I took in the fall 2012, and the exams are pretty fair, you will get atleast 80 if you just memorize, scan the lecture notes and the textbook. Essays are somewhat easy because you are working in groups and just write research essay based on certain topics. Essays are easily marked, last year the average was like low to mid 80s. So you have a chance to get atleast a 10 for putting a decent effort.
