We had none of these topics for first term last year. They change them every year so that people don't copy! How I chose mine.. I decided on the ones that were most interesting to me and then I went on PubMed or Google Scholar and just did a little lit search.. very basic to see which ones were easier to find info on than others.. And picked from those ones!

Pretty much what Sara said. But choose fast because the good ones will be taken on the first day!

I would probably choose Alzheimers since it is both interesting and my grandmother has it (and it's hereditary :()

Another interesting topic would be depression.
That way, whenever one of your friends says "IM DEPRESSED" you can totally diagnose them and be like "SEE YOU'RE NOT REALLY DEPRESSED, YOU'RE JUST PATHETIC"

...but don't actually say that or you'll get punched...

I wouldn't choose depression because although the most talked about, there is very very vague information in terms of genes and how it affects you. So like the above people, do some research on each topic before you actually choose!

Those are all fascinating. I did melanoma. I didn't think I would enjoy it, but I really did love the whole report writing process.
