is it just the 20 amino acid structures we have to know?

and are there any pathways we DONT have to memorize?

Do we need to memorize all those numbers??? there's a billion of them! like metabolic fuel for 70yr old man? :S

This makes me so glad I dropped this class when I had the chance. It sucks because with a different prof, better presentation of the content, and more fair evaluations, the class would be amazing. If trivial details are going to be tested, they should give a quiz bank to practise from, a la Dr. Day. It sucks because now I can't take upper-level biochem courses :(

For the amino acids structures, he also mentioned that we should know which ones are essential and non-essential.

I agree with this. Some of his questions are tough, but at least there's a quiz bank. Also, I wish there were more questions per midterm. 25 marks of MC per midterm doesn't seem like a very good representation of our knowledge, especially when it's 30% of our mark/midterm. I'm probably just butthurt, though .
