Biology 1A03
This course is divided into three parts. The first two profs tried to incorporate a sort of model to aid the curriculum.
Dr. Jacobs - Cell Bio
- had a virus model. Seemed irrelevant until after the unit which is kind of unfortunate because understanding was crammed to the end....

Jeff Landry is quite the intimidating person, to say the least. But he is quite good at getting things done for you, and really knowledgeable about all the material.
He probably thinks I'm a complete idiot though, since I had to see him so frequently such stupid reasons last year. -.-

Do you mean jacobs online module things? They were just there to help you study. Same stuff he said in class. It was helpful to review them to get some details.

Did Jacobs post his creepy video last year where he stares at the camera with haunting eyes?

You mean the one before class started? Yes he did and I have to say that the video sends the wrong message of him as a professor. After seeing that video I was like, "Nooooooooooooo, I'm going to fall asleep in the classes! This is going to be so boring." But in fact he is a great professor! I really enjoyed learning from him and I hope to have him teach me again in the future.

I got the exact opposite- I loved the online lectures he posted, but hated his actual lecturing style.

I developed a morbid fear after watching that first intro video online. My friend set it as his display pic on MSN and my heart nearly stopped when I saw it

I didn't even know you could do this course without highschool Bio, you might be required to do another Bio course first.
It shouldn't be too hard for you though, most of the material is pretty easy. You might have to study more than the kids with a high school background though.

The hardest part would depend on what you're interested in. I thought Jacobs' material was the hardest (cell processes), I know a few people found Wilson's (functional genetics) to be the hardest. It depends on what you did in high school, what learning style you are, and how interesting you find the material.
