$1048 for new books!!!! $792 for used (and that's just the first term..wait 2nd term's list isn't there, is it?...here I was thinking i didn't have to buy any books then :()
I definitely need to search for these books in Pakistan first
Edit: ok i counted wrong...its something around $800 still!

It's different professors, that's why. Last year, I had to buy two books and an iClicker for Soc, while people I knew in the night class only had to buy one. It's lame but, yeah.

what do the pins do? some of my textbooks include two pins?? I know these are necessary, but what are they used for?
and if i buy a used book, could the pins be available or is it just a one time usage idea?

Last year we had the same thing for Math 1A03/Math 1AA3. It's used for webassign (They have assignments which are basically just questions). You use 1 Pin for Math 1A03 and the other for Math 1AA3.
If you buy the book used you can purchase the pin online. I think they were 25$ each last year.
