Business vs Medical Radiation (decision)
Hi, this is my first time posting and I have no idea if I'm doing it right or now but whatever.

I need some advice please. I've applied to MacMaster Medical Radiation and Business and got accepted into both. But I can't make up my mind into which I want to go into. The pros and cons are almost equal. For businesss the major con is that I don't have any background in Business. I've only taken sciences in high school because I never thought of going into Business at the time. Plus I'm really bad in math too and I don't even know what I want to do in Business. :( Will that make the program much harder for me? (not having a background) and I heard t's hard to find a job in the future and that the program itself is competitive. For MedRad it's difficult and the math is worst than Business I bet but the pro is I get a job right after the 4 years. So I'm stuck in between. D:

Please give me more info. ^^!
Thank you in advance =D

Business is very competitive. I suggest you take Med Rad, and do econ or some other business course as an elective to see if you want to switch.

Nope. It's not that much harder.

A girl I knew in first year was in Medical Radiation Sciences and loved it. The downside of both options is that the programs are relatively competitive to switch into, so if you change your mind you have to work really hard to be able to switch.

By the sounds of it, you're already leaning toward Medical Radiation Sciences. What makes you want to pursue Business?

Would first year phy. be all general physics as in different units like highschool or just a specific type just for radiation? or is that 2nd year?

Simple, determine where your passion lies. If your truly passionate about your school work then nothing will be too difficult.

Medrad physics is easier than the physics other science students take in first year (1B03), medrad physics is less "mathy".

Also keep in mind that once you graduate from the medrad program you are pretty much guaranteed a job!

I'm pretty sure that the physics for Med-rad covers somewhat similar material to the general physics courses (1B03-1BA3) but applied to the radiation sciences. So you probably won't see as much math as someone who took 1B03-1BA3.

I'm sick of these stupid "help me choose" threads, make up your own god damn mind. I know it seems like a good idea to ask people to help you with this decision, but it is not helpful. Your decision should be based on what you truly want, so do some research (or inner searching) and then make a decision about your life.

I agree, I understand if you need help with something little like "where is ______ located at McMaster" or something minor but asking other people about what program to get into is kind of pushing it.

Make the decision for yourself and stop being so insecure.

Some people just truly can't decide by themselves which is why they ask people.

Commerce is definitely not for you, go into Med Red and stop asking about how difficult something is. Hard work goes a long way
