Calculator usage?
are there any first year math classes at mac that wont let you use a calculator?
more specifically, does anyone know about 1M03? thanksss

I'm pretty sure there are some courses that don't allow calculators on tests and stuff (I think engineering?), but you are allowed a calculator for MATH 1M03.

McMaster's standard calculator is the Casio FX-991, and it is the only calculator permitted for tests. They sell at Titles. You can also get it at staples or wherever else, probably for cheaper.

They should be on sale at a couple stores, they usually are around this time of year. Off the top of my head, I remember there was a sale at Staples and Canadian Tire last year around this time.

If you're wondering if its worth it to buy the calculator, I say you'd be stupid if you didn't.
But I do remember Physics 1BB3 (taught by Dr. K Sills Winter 2010) not allowing a calculator for certain questions, but that was to teach us to "estimate"
