Course was taught by Luc Bernier.

Format:

45% quizzes - Online quizzes weekly based on an article (easy)
20% Midterm - Multiple choice questions only (pretty fair)
35% Exam - I think we had 40 MC questions that were based on the lectures we did after the midterm. Then we had 6 abstracts of 10 articles and there were 10 questions based on each abstract. The professor gave us 2 articles beforehand and the exact same showed up on the exam along with the questions. They were pretty tough!

Personally, I didn't really enjoy the course since I found the material pretty boring. It was very dry but if you are really interested in environmental science then you should take it.

Thanks so much for the review!!
Were the questions about the abstracts on the exam essay-style questions or multiple choice?

Yea I agree that we didn't have to put too much effort and everyone was surprised at their marks. Even i ended up doing really well but I highly doubt he will make the course this easy next year. I am sure he only let it be that easy because it was a new course. But thats just what I think

As for the lecture style, yea, he has fill in the blanks so you have to go to class. And oh yea there was no book so you definitely had to go to class and pay attention. I took env sci 1a03 and 1b03 with him as well in which he had 2 questions at the end of the lectures but he didn't for this course.

The questions on the exam were all MC. You were given the abstracts and you also had to use knowledge attained from the course to answer them!
