Yeah Ash and his team weren't directly telling people to vote for him, they were just generally being polite and telling people to have a nice day and stuff from what I head.

That said I also didn't see Mary or her team in/around MUSC campaigning and yelling out for people to vote for her.

They were not telling people to vote, they refused to wear their campaign shirts today in front of the booths, they were extremely polite (not unusual actually) . .. What else is there to say? I mean, like I said: They offered to SETTLE any outbreaks of crowds in front of booths!!!!!! That is above and beyond anything and everything... I am interested in why the other candidates still feel that voting day is still time to go all out 100% campaigning? I mean, I won't lie... I am not in the slightest bit interested in Casey's platforms (let the hate fly at me...), not that I heard much of it in class, unless the campaign is to make the MSU into a gigantic party. So is this campaigning on voting day just a way to get voters out because they couldn't exactly be convinced during the "singing and dancing" period of campaign time? As much as this sounds like a "hate" message, it's about just as valid a question to be asked here as it is "hate"

Ash was the only candidate I didn't see in the atrium. He and someone on his campaign team were holding doors and being totally polite and inobstrusive. It was very much refreshing after walking through MUSC with loud sign-wielding people getting in my face. Totally classy campaign all around.

Mary was in MUSC talking to people around lunchtime, as were a fair number of people on her campaign team, but they were being more "available" than obstrusive. Kieran and team were visible and spirited, but not getting in anybody's way.

If you're looking for Mary and her Team, they are located behind the MUSC fireplace with the purple balloons. Unfortunately, the cycle for life fundraiser made it difficult to spot. :(

hmm, I've had doors held open for me, been yelled at in the MUSC (lolol), got a nice "Hello! How are you?" from Casey.....

Finally saw Kieran in person & got a chance to hear him speak in front of my class,
same with Mary.

Its hardly unfortunate that a fundraiser made her difficult to spot.

I'm pretty sure a fundraiser for charity is more important than anyone's MSU Presidency campaign.

Also people weren't looking for her, we were commenting on whether or not candidates should be all up in people's joints telling them to vote for them on poll days.

This is not anti-Mary, I just found it kind of dumb that you said a fundraiser was in some way hindering.

Hey Stefanie! I'd like to rephrase that. It was unfortunate that Mary's HQ was behind the fundraiser. Not the other way around. Obviously, the fundraiser is ten times more important than MSU Elections, despite both being very important.

Out of curiosity why didn't she move her HQ for the day? She could have campaigned elsewhere, it seems strange that if she was being blocked by another event that she wouldn't move.

I personally have no idea. But that's all in the past now. They'll be there again tomorrow, I think. But for the most part, only one rep was sitting there throughout the day. Everyone was doing their best to promote Mary around campus. not just at the student centre.

Dirty politics? Even if that were the case, which it doesn't seem to be, who cares? Real life politics are worse - if you want to have some perfect election where everyone cares for each other it wouldn't even be akin to what occurs in real life and therefore wouldn't be very professional anyway.

I assure you, Mr. McIntyre, that he is not dodging hard questions, he just hasn't had a chance to respond as of yet. Your patience is welcomed and appreciated.
Still waiting...

Let's try and keep this discussion about Casey Park and his campaign. Other candidates have threads created for them if you wish to discuss their campaign.

honestly I just am curious and have yet to get an answer to my question via facebook or here . This is kind of upsetting , it was not even offensive it was a simple question about which points from the posters students wrote on were chosen and how did you go about that ? At this point I wouldnt even mind an answer from Wright I understand Casey is busy .
