As the title says a couple of students at Mac have created this cool site. It's like chatroullete, except for McMaster students.
Click Start and you randomly start video chats with other students at Mac connected at the same time.
Anyone been on there yet? Shoes on the head! GO GO GO!  |

How's it restricted to McMaster only? (I'm currently on MacConnect so I don't know if it can detect that and let me in)

It just says its for Mac Students, so it is entirely possible that you might have outsiders because there is no restriction mechanism. But I don't think non Mac people have it yet, most people in there are usually rez kids.

I applaud the way ChatRoulette is encouraging global connectivity and "building bridges" but I just don't think it's a smart idea. Is it just me or is anybody else having flashbacks to how about 5 years ago "stranger danger" was a real and palpable concern? As well, when I clicked on their Facebook group's link it seemed to turn me off the idea. I believe the "pre-drinking" bit did it for me. Enjoying alcohol responsibly with company you actually know and enjoy is one thing but using a chat program to meet relative strangers to pre-drink seems to put more of an emphasis on the importance of beginning your descent into getting wasted as opposed to meeting new people to...meet new people.
