Chem 1A03 + 1AA3 - No Lock?

That high school teacher... is AWESOME!
IMO he is better than lock. Trust me.. I had him during summer school... he is just as good as Lock if not better. He's the type of guy that knows how hard university is and he want's you to do well and he's always helpful. He's a really interesting guy to... not only does he teach very well but he has a lot of interesting stories that he like to tell. I'd highly recommend Hatala (high school teacher).

wait so hatala will replace lock in teh same time slot right as lock right? or will some senior move up and take her spot? dang i switched around so much to get lock but since i hear glowing review of hatala then its alright i guess.

Ya I actually checked out the master timetable a few days ago and saw that it didn't even have Lock on there so I didn't change my timetable haha.

Omg, same. And what's funnier is that Lock's section, C01 for chem 1aa3, it was full for the longest time! And not that she isn't teaching, it's available. Yay, finally my schedule conflict is resolved!  
Also, I'm not sure which sections Hatala will teach, cuz there are C01 and C02 that are unassigned to a prof for chem 1a03, so he could be for either section:(. BUt for 1aa3, there's only lock's section , c01 that's free.. so hopefully it works out =/

For 1A03, C02 has never had a prof listed. That's the core I'm in, and Hatala sounds great, so I hope he ends up teaching that one too!

now im gonna have to play musical chairs with my timetable again until i get hatala for all my chems. :((. i really like chem and i want a prof who can keep my enthusiasm for it going. |

It's funny, I really liked Lock and her classes. I think I got really lucky to have her both semesters for 1A03/1AA3, but I still skipper her classes most of the time |

Don't stress too much, we don't know if it's for sure yet! And his name isn't even up on the mcmaster master timetable

Agreed :(. I love my first term, but my second term is horrible. It can never be how you want it all the time :(.. sadly

I had Mr. Hatala as a teacher in high school. He helped teach the Biotech course I had and he was honestly the BEST teacher I've ever had. Extremely fun, energetic, nice and helpful. He made classes well, not seem like classes all while still learning. He's helped me out organizing some events at my school and I am ECSTATIC that he's here to teach chem.
Don't switch because you don't have Locke. I promise you won't regret having Hatala.

Just had my first lecture today, as james mentionned, he's definitely awesome! He was making jokes the whole time, and class was really fun!

I didn't notice at all above, but, I can confirm she is pregnant. I saw her the other day and she is pretty far into her pregnancy.
She is by far the best prof I have had to date though; however, Valiant, if he is actually teaching 1AA3 again is also very good for Chem.
