Text book was: Contemporary Marketing (including CourseMate Printed Access Card -12mos), 3rd Edition Boone, Kurtz, Mackenzie, Snow for about $120. but it really wasn't necessary and the online access card wasn't useful either. You are better off just using lecture notes or if you really like having the textbook buy used for sure.

All of the lecture notes were slideshows posted on avenue with simple fill-in-the blank answers during the lecture. The prof was Stephen Charko. He enjoys using youtube videos as examples in class. He also likes to run class activities which can be fun if people show up. He started making bonus questions on midterms and the final based on guest speakers and group activities to get more people involved. His guest speakers are pretty entertaining and can help answer alot of questions if you are interested in learning about careers in marketing.

Evaluation is 2 Midterms (22.5% each) and a 2 hour 100 M/C final (25%). Group reports (10% and 15%) and an online discussion mark of (5%) plus a 3% bonus on the second group report.

The midterms are 1 hour with about 60 M/C questions. They were slightly difficult because of how the questions were worded and because there were generally two correct answers, but you had to choose the most correct. The group reports were marked pretty hard, but if you had Rita Cossa before and followed her report outlines then you were fine.

Overall the content wasn't difficult to understand. Everything was non cumulative.
