Stupid stupid stupid scam calling automated thingers.
I keep getting this one that tells me "This is the second notice that the factory warranty on your vehicle is about to expire!" ITS A SCAM!
The sad part is that I'm on the Do Not Call Lists

Funny cause, one night at work I was sitting with some of the officers I work with and I got that spam call. Literally minutes after I got it one of the officers got the same call. I'm convinced they're watching us... *twitch*

Its nice to have the do not call list as I have noticed fewer calls. However the rules only apply to calls originating in Canada (because the government can only control those calls) so calls originating from the US or elsewhere aren't affected. Thats why you are still getting them. Perhaps its an imaginary warranty for your imaginary car.

There's been many news reports on this... apparently companies are abusing the list and turning it into a DO CALL list! There's no law against using the list to CALL people if your a call centre overseas. So someone took the list and is using it in a different country to call people up using automated systems...
I put my cell number in the do not call list via the website, and now I'm getting those silly car insurance scam calls almost every other day! And the number changes so you can't block it.

I kept getting the call about the car insurance too! I finally listened to the whole message one day and at the end it says "press 1 to talk to an associate or whatever, then press 2 to be removed from our calling list" so I pressed 2 and knock on wood, it's been about a week since I've received a call...
