how do you search for articles in databases?
ive been trying all evening on the mcmaster libarary website. the only thing i can find are abstracts of articles, but where are the actaul articles? im not looking for a specific article im just trying to find some sources for a paper i'm writing. any help is appreciated!!!!!!!!!

Easiest thing to do is to go to library.mcmaster.ca, then clicking, "Login to Libaccess" (only necessary if you're off-campus). Then, go to Google Scholar and Google whatever article you want via keywords/titles/etc.

Which databases do you want to look at? Going to a database is much more helpful. If you're looking for Health Science articles (I'm sure there's a similar process for other topics, but this is what I know more of) - you can go to the library site - hsl.mcmaster.ca - Click on any of the databases or the evidence-based sites - search - find the article you want - click the "get it Mac" option - and you can finally read the article! Yay. ..or read the abstract and conclusion.

What class is this for? That changes the databases you should be searching in. If you're really stuck, try going to research help at Mills library at the front desk. They can explain searching tips for most easy stuff.
