Many students have the aim of going to graduate school after finishing their bachelor's degrees, for a couple of reasons:
They believe it will get them into a higher pay scale
It is required for some professional designations (physiotherapy, for example)
They don't know what to do after they finish their degree
They like school
Applying to graduate school isn't like applying for your undergrad. Similarly, graduate school isn't very much like a bachelor's degree.
If you are thinking about going to graduate school, or in the midst of working on your applications, check out this article series on TalentEgg, written by University of Saskatchewan postdoctoral fellow Justin Bengry and MacInsiders VP Admin Danielle Lorenz.
The series is not quite finished, with several articles still in the works. However, you can check out some of the existing series:
"This is not what they teach you in grad school" link is broken.
Thanks. Should be fixed now!
