Dr Cowalll, Anthropology Professor?

Hey guys, I was wondering how is Prof Cowall teaching style? IS she a tough professor? For those who tooke her courses, how would find her assessments especially the in-class assessments? Is this similar to in-class essays? The reason for this post is to inquire what does an open-book writing assignments? I am taking Anthro 1ab3 (and possibly Anthro 2u03) and don`t know if will gonna be writing inesive in short amount of time. Please let me know your suggestions and comments asap. Thanks!
