Can someone who have taken the course comment on the final exam's difficulty?

It was disastrous.
If you wonder what chapters he covers, ask him. If you ask where he gets his questions from, noone will answer, because: A) it's illegal B) to know that you had to know every question source there is

All of Bernier's courses are basically the same. So if you've taken a course with him before, you should know what to expect. If not, then the way his exams usually are is that 80% of it will be the most basic common knowledge questions ever and the other 20% being specific stats/details from the powerpoint slides. For these questions try to focus on the slides that talk about 'big picture' stuff and that he spent the most time on. Honestly, if you study for like 5 hours you'll get 90 on his tests.
