From my experience, I would agree about Geo. But a friend of mine taking 1HU3 this term said it's pretty hard. It's the same prof (Mercier), so I'm not sure what might have changed.

Oh, and also Music 1A03 and 1AA3 if you don't mind listening to classical music all the time.

Does English 2J03 have an essay component? I need an english with an essay component as a prerequisite for grad school, but 2J03 ( as well as 2R03 and 3F03) sound interesting, if they have the essay component

Looking at English courses, I found ENGLISH 2R03 - MONSTERS AND MAGIC, ENGLISH 3D03 - SCIENCE FICTION, ENGLISH 3F03 - THE FAIRY TALE, ENGLISH 3Y03 - CHILDREN'S LITERATURE really intersting.
Has anyone taken any of these courses?
What are they like? Did you find them as interesting as their names?

I took Fairy Tale this term. I put a review under Course Reviews on this site.
The course is interesting, and the breakdown is 2 essays and an exam. I liked it, but I think I was lucky with the TA who happened to mark my papers. A LOT of people were complaining about their essay marks.

I can't think of an English/CSCT class without an essay component, same goes for History classes (War in the West 1850-1945 HIST 2S03 was a really good class)

Back to the OP, Eng 1A03 (I THINK that's the code, the Poetry one) was ridiculously easy this year.
