Hi I was wondering if ANYONE has Hannah Holmes lecture slides filled out , I lost all of the slides after I accidentally dropped my laptop today If so could you please send me them

I dont have the slides but for reference you can still probably recover most of the data on your hard drive. If the drive itself become corrupted you can use a linux Live CD (try ubuntu) and this will boot into linux off a cd allowing access to non-damaged parts of the drive. If the drive itself is undamaged but the comp is still broken try removing the hard drive (super easy on most laptops) and connecting it to someones desktop as a secondary drive. Be very careful NOT to do this unless you have first checked your warranty information as some stupid manufactures say that removing anything voids the warranty

Hey, my warranty is over, and since my harrdrive is sata I think that that disk has become imbalanced and it's making large clunking noises. I tried using spin rite like I usally do and I have only been able to recover a few things...

I took the course last year and she provided us with full notes... that's weird but anywhooo

This is a great time to remind everyone to back up their laptop onto an external drive. You can get terabyte drives for ~$75. Make regular backing up a habit. During the school year, I back up weekly. It only takes a few minutes and can save you from all kinds of trouble.
