Econ 3HH3
I took this class in 2013 with Demidova, who is a very enjoyable lecturer. She is very passionate about the subject material (for some reason) and this shines through in her delivery, which makes her lectures conducive to actually learning the material.
The class looks at various models and barriers to trade. It is primarily a micro-based class but not mathy at all. There's a lot of calculating surplus and deadweight losses. The material was kind of dry, but the models really can be applied to current trade policy, so it's still relevant.
The breakdown was 30% weekly problem sets (which she encouraged us to do in groups and were quite simple most of the time), 30% midterm and 40% final. The final was non-cumulative. Both exams were written and involved a lot of graphs and problem solving, with the final being quite a bit more difficult but still not a hard exam. This is a class that's very easy to do well in.
