Eng I and German 1Z06
I was wondering what the difficulty for German 1Z06 is?

I speak a little German as I've taken some courses throughout High School. Also, i read the course review on Macinsiders and it said the harder units are giving directions, the three grammatical cases ans past perfect/simple past tense. However, I also read that some people found it very difficult, especially for engineers. Therefore, I am very confused.

I want a course that isn't too much work and is a mark booster, especially since I have experience with German.

If it's similar to other 1st level language courses, it should go over basic grammar, endings, some basic words. The amount of written work depends on your prof. It's a good idea to take if you know some of it.

I'm in engineering and took German 1Z06 in my first year. I went in not knowing much, and pretty easily came out with an 11. The course has minimal homework and it moves very slowly. There was a girl in my class that couldn't wrap her head around the fact that 'ein' is pronounced such that it sort of rhymes with 'eye', and instead pronounced it 'eeen' all the way through.

Looks like it's the same prof teaching it as when I took it. He's a pretty cool guy.

BTW: Expect this course to be full when you try and apply. I had to email the head of linguistics to get in.
