English Summer School
Hey guys,
I wanted to take English in summer school so I could have a full year of English (I already took English 1A03).
However, there are no English courses available at McMaster in summer that are only one term.
Does anyone know any English courses at any other universities I could take, which are only for the first term in summer (something that is not too hard, hopefully easy!)
Also, it would be preferable if it was at the University of Waterloo, UTM, Ryerson (Somewhere in Mississauga), or Hamilton. seeing as I have a place to live there. If anyone could tell me about any available courses, or how to find out and sign up, I would be grateful.
Thanks!

Hey!
There is a course at York University (its sorta in Mississauga). The course is EN 1001 (I believe). It's the equivalent of English 1A03 at Mac. Its offered for S2 (meaning from May 6th to mid-June). Thought you might be interested. I'm taking the course so let me know if you decide to take it and if you need any help enrolling in it

Do you have to take a first year course? There is a second year course available. Also, if you're thinking of majoring in English, 2I06 may be a good option (although it goes best semesters). It's mandatory that you take a 6 credit British Literature course for English majors anyway, so you can get it out of the way.

Hey ,
If I took English 1A03 already, and then I took this, would it satisfy the requirement of a year of English the some medical schools require?

They're the same course...so no. It also wouldn't count towards your degree at Mac.

I don't know anything about med school requirements. But if med school requires that you take a full year of English (6 credits), and you take 2I06, you will have 9 credits. I don't know if this will use up your electives or if you'll have too many English courses.
