This class goes over many current issues, mostly centered around pollution, such as non point source (NPS), remedial action programs (RAPs), and problems and solutions regarding the great lakes.

Dr. Krantzberg is very knowledgeable and passionate and offers a great deal of experience. She is never short on facts and really makes you think critically about what is going on in the world and how things can be changed, or could be with preventative engineering.

Really excellent, engaging course. Very indicative of engineering and society courses.

Is this a 3rd or 4th year course? It's listed under 4th year ...

It's generally taken in the 4th year, as 3X and 3Y are taken in 3rd year. (Though some students try to accelerate their society courses)
