Environmental Science Courses - Any suggestions...?
In your opinion, how is enviro 1G03 vs. 1B03?
I need one or the other. I've heard that 1G03 can be very dry but it's easy. And then that 1B03 is very hard but can be interesting all at the same time. When I say hard/easy - I mean the course load.
However, I'm aiming for a double digit mark and I worry that I won't get that if I end up with 1B03. Is it possible for double digits in both? 1B03 does sound interesting! Just hard to an extent.
Thanks for the help.

Definitely take env sci 1b03!!, some of the parts are just partly boring common sense, partly related in some topics in biology (biodiversity portion) and the rest are interesting mostly you'll find it later at the last few lectures (issues in population, urbanization, sanitation, climate change, water and soil use and abuse, air quality, etc). Labs are not too hard, soil lab, simple calculations and some group work can be annoying at times but still doable. Weekly quizzes are a boost, just read your notes and you'll be fine to get atleast B on each quizzes. Essay can be time consuming but you have 1 month to finish that so please do it early as possible. Essay mark quite hard at some criteria but there is a lot additional marks given in order for you to pass the essay. Final exams are decent as long you memorize and understand the concepts from the lecture notes and from the book. Final exam consists of multiple choice, fill in the blanks, short and long answer. Probably you need to have time to study the labs especially the calculations. Overall, pretty straightforward, the interest for me was mixed interesting and boring but is all good if you want to buy the required book, Visualizing the Environment, please let me know by sending me an inbox here at MI. Condition is good and price is negotiable. Again, let me know asap

Do you think a double digit mark is feasible?
Thanks for the input btw!

I took 1A and liked it, and have been looking into taking more enviro sci courses, but it looks like alot of courses require 1G as a pre req! so look into that if you plan on taking more later.
