Definitely take env sci 1b03!!, some of the parts are just partly boring common sense, partly related in some topics in biology (biodiversity portion) and the rest are interesting mostly you'll find it later at the last few lectures (issues in population, urbanization, sanitation, climate change, water and soil use and abuse, air quality, etc). Labs are not too hard, soil lab, simple calculations and some group work can be annoying at times but still doable. Weekly quizzes are a boost, just read your notes and you'll be fine to get atleast B on each quizzes. Essay can be time consuming but you have 1 month to finish that so please do it early as possible. Essay mark quite hard at some criteria but there is a lot additional marks given in order for you to pass the essay. Final exams are decent as long you memorize and understand the concepts from the lecture notes and from the book. Final exam consists of multiple choice, fill in the blanks, short and long answer. Probably you need to have time to study the labs especially the calculations. Overall, pretty straightforward, the interest for me was mixed interesting and boring but is all good
