Plus, while winter nights are bad, winter mornings can often be worse. Unless there's a storm coming or worsening that night, in which class your prof will likely cancel classes early.

Also, in weather that's bad but not "too bad", classes after the work day, so 5:30 PM onward I believe, are likely to get cancelled. That way the University was still open during the business day, but can cancel evening classes to prevent needless inconvenience. Night classes take a bit get used to but can work in your favour quite nicely sometimes

But like someone said above, 1 or 2 cancelled classes can be nice, but too many will be detrimental since the prof will rush the material in order to get everything done, which sucks

That's true. I remember one prof cancelled a night class and had the "makeup" lecture on a Saturday.

2 classes is A LOT, that's 1/6 of the material. Even 1 cancelled class can be a lot of material.

I absolutely hate night classes and avoid them whenever possible.

I find that I can't absorb information for three hours straight at night. Also with the lack of movement and my general sleep deprivation I find myself struggling to stay awake.

And skipping one night class is like skipping a week of regular class, and as mentioned before, it's hard to force yourself to go to night class during the winter.

It does free up your daytime schedule, which is sort of nice, but I would much rather be busier during the day.

Night classes does free up your schedule. However, I wouldn't recommend taking one if it is really information heavy. I find it really hard to concentrate on what the prof is saying for 2 to 3 hours straight. And it is worse if you had day classes before the evening class.
