Exam Marks
Just curious what the consensus is here regarding exam marks. I realize that some Profs don't actually release exam marks, but I was hoping MI readers that wanted to could provide some insight into how their exams actually ended up being graded.

I'm not referring to multiple choice or straight answer exams, but short answer/long essay exams. Is it possible to get over 90? 95? I usually get low 80s (without much studying, back when I didn't care about school) but this year I feel like I really aced all of my exams (90++).

Thanks
Edited to say- specifically social sciences/humanities courses, but any insight is appreciated!

What sort of courses are these? E.g. for something more long-answer type in economics, I did pretty well last year because even though it is essay-like, it is still very objective. Now, if you're writing an English essay, 90+ would be really hard...

Oh true. The exams were like - you say everything you know about the question/topic from slides/lectures/readings, not argumentative, pretty fact based. One of them was public law, which gave you 4 definitions/cases and you defined/explained them, and the second half you re-wrote and applied precedents to a specific case.

So there's a marking scheme of some sorts still in place - you gain a mark for each point you make.
