First day?
I have three core classes on my first day and then a tutorial/lab for chemistry... would I go to those on Thursday since it's in my timetable? Or are they not active until whatever week? It's for chem 1a03, in case someone else is in the same boat as me.

Usually there are no labs or tutorials the first week, unless specified on avenue to learn, chem 1a03 does not have labs. Yes you need to go to cores on thursday, however its usually basic intro stuff.

I wouldnt even take a thing, 1st day is usually either nothing at all or just getting course outlines from the profs.

The first class you usually learn nothing. Just take the course outline and the prof goes through it.

First day you just go over the course policy and what textbooks/resources are required for that term.

Lab or tutorials usually don't run during the first week, go to all your core classes.

I'd go to all your classes except for tutorials/labs I have had some professor's do a lecture after talking about the course outline on the first day.

walk to your classes. Usually, there are posters outside of your lecture halls notifying you of all details regarding the labs/tutu, classes timing for the first few weeks. That way you can make sure yr not missing out on any important info.

Go to the cores. You (usually) won't be there for the whole class anyway, but sometimes the prof gives some helpful info, regarding textbook editions, if the textbook is mandatory etc
