It's sad that this is our reality, and we have almost no choice in it. We are a civilization fuelled by corruption, and most of us have been brain-washed to follow the new set norm. Then there's the enforcer—media. The majority of what media reports in not entirely true. Not that it's false, but quite often the full truth has been kept or reported out of context. They appeal to the human id, slowly reeling us into this "overy-systemized" society.
And it's ironic. We live in a society that promotes so-called "freedom of speech and expression". "Don't be afraid to let your voice be heard", "Stand up for what you believe in". Individual thought is apparently valued. We are encouraged to break barriers on sexuality and religion (because of personal preference). But then why are they so touchy topics? Why do people jump for your throat regardless of the side you choose?
Why, in a world that apparently is so tolerant, is discrimination so present? And I don't think it's decreasing; it's on the rise. All this 'individual thought' and 'fright for freedom' is a facade, and it's throwing society into a hellhole. If everyone thought individually, then there would be total fragmentation of society. Hell, there wouldn't even be society. I'm not condemning originality and standing up for what you believe in, but this is taking it overboard. The 'farmers' are just giving us something else to occupy ourselves, so we can just go along with the bigger system.
Take a look at the Wikileaks incident for proof. They did not willingly give up the web domain (I'm not talking about the server throw out). A web domain does not just 'expire' so long as the customer is paying. The US government put pressure on Internick—it's literally the only way something like that could have happened. And the media plays stupid by reporting false nonesense, "Wikileaks has withdrawn the domain name". If so, why did they immediately re-register another? And why? Because the US government wants to cover up the behind-the-scenes bullshit that they're doing. They want us to keep thinking we're on the way to a perfect world. Freedom of speech my arse.
By the way, Assange says early next year, another couple thousand cables will be released, giving insight into the corruption behind the biggest US banks that might literally put them out of business. Although he usually overestimates the consequences of his leaks, he has always kept his word with regards to leak releases, so hoping the superiors don't somehow pressure him and cut his tongue, I'd hold my breath.
We've had a veil placed over us. We've been maimed, short-sighted into thinking we're long-sighted.
This is modernization. This is our better tomorrow.
We're all lambs.
