Fulltime student
Hey guys! Does anyone know how many units per semester you need to be considered a full time student as oppposed to a parttime student?

I don't know of the exact number of units, but if you're looking to see if you are full-time or part-time you can find out by going onto MUGSI and clicking on "My Academics" on the left and then clicking on "Program and Course Summary". On that page you'll see your Academic Load Status which says whether you are a full-time or part-time student.

I don't think it matters per term but I do know you need a total of 18 units to be considered full time.

That's correct, Nicole.
If it's 18+ units, you're considered full time.

From what I learned, it's actually 60% of the course work. So if you are in engineering, the number of units to be considered as a full-time student would be slightly more...
