Any chance that genetics will open up? it's full right now. Should I just give up and find another course to take?

It could potentially open up in September during the add/drop period. Some people might choose to drop it.

I would recommend taking something else for now and hopefully switching into genetics later on. If you don't get in before the first day of school, you could still go to the lectures if it fits into your schedule so that you don't miss anything...

It's a pretty popular course that lots of people require for their program. If it's required for you, then you're guaranteed a seat. If not, you can try emailing the instructional assistant for the course (Ray Procwat... [email protected]) or the science academic advisors to see if they can open you up a seat. If not, then you should find another course to take so that you have a full courseload, but keep trying--you might get lucky!

Just remember for it to be required, it has to be 100% you have to take it to graduate. If it's 3 units out of a list of 9 or something like that, then it's not required.
