Getting a lease end of August- bad idea?
hi, i can't come to hamilton till the end of august and i'm just wondering if people have experiences getting leases that late. Are they cheaper since landlords are desperate? or is it really hard to find a decent place that isnt too far?

From what I've heard yes it will probably be cheaper but since the room/house will be further away. Though I've heard its easier to get a 8-month lease when you're looking that late. The house should be decent, livable anyway and you've always got your bus pass to help you get to school.

Check out what places are still available around the McMaster area here: http://macoffcampus.mcmaster .ca/classifieds/index.php

You can still get a lease at this time, but you might have trouble getting a place walking distance.

Edit: Actually there are quite a few places within 5 min. walk from McMaster, check the "Apartments in a House" section

I know a few people who have done so. It's just that you won't have a wide selection since most places will be taken by then.
