So I have a little problem. I misread an assignment outline and thought something was due in class on Oct. 28 when it turns out it was due the week of Oct 28 in tutorial. I am not that worried since if I hand it in tomorrow it will only be two days late and the late penalty for this class is 2% per day. I know its a stupid way to loose marks but I was positive it wasn't due until the 28th. So my question is what is the protocol for handing late assignments in? The class is in the communications dept. Where do I go/what do I do?

I'm planning on handing it in tomorrow morning, I doubt they will respond that quickly.

You will be putting it in the departmental drop box. Look up Communication Studies in the directory and the box will likely be beside the room number that is mentioned.

Make sure to include your TA's name as well as the professors, the course code, the date and your name on the assignment.

forone of my courses last year... the way late assignments were handed in was u had to get it date-stamped by the instructional assistant and then put it in the appropriate dropbox

Yeah, make sure you get it date and time stamped...otherwise marks will be deducted based on when it's found, not when you hand it in.
