That means if you all your grades are 10+ then you're GPA is over 3.7. If you are getting 11s and 12s then a grade below 10 will not "really really hurt".

Honestly a couple bad marks will not hurt you in the long run. Just learn from it and study extra hard during the year. Also schools love students who show resilience.  | It sucks if you're trying to get into med school or anything else highly competitive that will count it but its not the end of the world. Within mac we don't use the 4.0 system (which makes it hard to use A's and A+'s to bring up your average).
