Hate My Effing Ipod Shuffle
So I bought an Ipod Shuffle today and I cannot figure out how to put this piece of crap on hold. It's 5th gen. When I Google how to lock the keys, I'm getting results for 1st/2nd gen, which is to press and hold the play button. It doesn't work for mine.
Thanks >.>

Checked the manuals that came with, nada.

Sorry, I think you're SOL.

Also, your Shuffle (the latest one, I take it?) is only fourth generation, which probably explains why you're not getting the results you're looking for from Google.

Record yourself smashing it in a fit of rage, and then post it on macinsiders. It'll be lulz.

Sell it and buy the new nano for 100$ more... even though its basically the same thing...
They made the shuffle a bit better by adding a tiny screen, and at the same time, they made the nano a lot shittier by adding a tiny screen.

I'm pretty sure leeoku was loling at APPLE product users, which include Macs and Ipods.
Anyway, I got a shuffle for jogging. I don't need a screen or anything fancy. Just some noise in my ears. XD Otherwise, I'd never buy one. Ever.

you probably could have gotten something else that has a screen for the same (or less) money. And has a hold function.
boom, set for jogging. Why didn't you buy based on your needs instead of just picking a popular brand that doesn't suit?

You don't need a hold function. the average apple users can afford to just throw away their ipod shuffle and buy a new one if they need to "unhold" their ipod.
