Hi pinkshuniza!
For the conference itself, your fee covers those 2 nights in residence. So for August 15/16 you must live in residence. However, students from any residence, or off campus can go to Horizons - it does not matter where you are living in September! We always get several off campus students!

Noo I havn't, but I try my best to make and spend my own money. It's generous enough that my parents are covering my first year costs for the time being. But I dont know, if all other options are exhausted, then I just might.

I had to get my parents to cover it when i was in first year since all the money I had saved up went to pay for my own textbooks which added up lol, and the fact that I didn't have a job back then when I just came out of highschool.

I have signed up as well! I am missing the July FYI event so I'm glad I have something to get more comfortable with university before it begins.

Hey guys!
Spots are definately filling up fast... (I am on the Horizons planning team and I moonlight as the Reception Clerk at the MSU )... If you happen to be on campus in the next week or so, feel free to drop by the McMaster Students Union office, located in Room 201 of the Student Centre and drop off your application with us in person!

Hi jag6232,
I am pretty sure that a money order is no problem at all. If for some reason accounting isn't able to deposit it, we would send it back to you asking for cash/cheque and keep your registration form (your spot in the conference would be held for a reasonable amount of time for you to get payment in since you already submitted your registration so don't worry!)
Keep asking questions everyone! And make sure you get your applications in - Horizons 2008 is going to be the best one yet!
