HORIZONS Leadership Conference is coming! Aug 5-7th
Horizons is a leadership conference organized by the MSU, with a goal to familiarize incoming first year students with the McMaster University campus. It runs August 5-7th and is a 3-day 2-night stay on campus.
Attendees take part in a fully immersive experience promoting leadership through themed sessions, exciting conference wide events, exploring Hamilton’s arts and nature offerings, staying in residence, and forming friendships that last well past Welcome Week.
The conference will lay foundations for both personal and academic success at McMaster. Every incoming student is placed in a group of nine others, paired with a team of three upper-year Leadership Developers (LDs). LDs will guide delegates through the weekend while delving into the conference themes of leadership, communication, time management, social awareness, support & wellness, and self-awareness. LDs and delegates continue to work together after the conference providing additional support, ensuring that first year students having a successful transition to university life.
