General question: Is it possible to find housing after September. I'm commuting for the first month, but after that, I'll most likely have to find a house. Do people still advertise rooms around Oct-Nov?

It's possible, but you likely won't be living somewhere very nice. There are some houses that are perpetually for rent.

Getting one for Sept-April will be easier/nicer. Just do that... why do you want to commute for Sept? Probably not going to save too much $ in 1 month.

I only live half an hour away. But there's personal issues that might occur in the next few weeks that'll mess with commuting

Glenmount Avenue (by the timhortons and fortinos) has a ton of houses with for rent signs up, check there?
